I’m a queer journalist, and I use she/her pronouns. I am currently open to full-time, part-time, and freelance work.
In 2021, I made a career switch to journalism from stage managing for theater and opera. So my professional experience is a fun and funky combination of public radio producing, print journalism, performing arts management, and editorial and permissions work in academic and indie presses. I previously worked as a producing intern on WBEZ’s daily news show, Reset with Sasha-Ann Simons.
I am passionate about issues facing LGBTQ+ people, fat people, disabled people, and other marginalized communities. In my research and reporting, I always work to acknowledge the intersectionality of these issues.
I am not very good at the New York Times’ Sunday crosswords. Mentally and spiritually, I’m in a movie theater watching a remastered re-release of The Sound of Music. But I live in Chicago
